Just this year I finally found Kronos, a late '50s science fiction about a robot that landed in Mexico and started a northward path of destruction. Thank you, YouTube! I previously saw it about 50 years ago on TV. I remember how scary were the hollow legs that caught the random panicked folks.

The book was much better. Interestingly, the author was L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Dianetics.
