When I think of it, black dog is the closest to French cuisine you’re gonna get here. And it’s really quite good. Best to make reservations though at any of these places.

Well, that depends on what they like. If they’re looking for high-end, I would say Bar Mayla or Tango Nuevo. If they like Italian, Heist or Olivea. There’s no French to speak of…. If they want sort of a more casual feel but a little bit French bistro style, Black Dog Tavern is very good.
