Watching the #DonkeyKong Country show and I'm absolutely in love with how dated, but completely earnest it is. Look past the uncanny mo-cap animation and you'll find the writing is very charming haha

Meanwhile, things they apparently have no problem NOT letting parents discuss with their kids on their own terms include: SA, absent fathers, death, grieving, ptsd, generational trauma, child protective services, etc. (in other words, it's just cowardice and transphobia but we already knew that)
