Also, just tried Arknights Endfield today. Not sure if I'm getting burnt out, if the timing for an open world + factory game isn't good for me, or if the game is outright unfun.

Shredded my legs and ankles by hiking uneven terrain for days on vacation. Friend picked me up at the airport and had me help him move 400-500 lb exercise equipment. Today I had to fix a washing machine. I'm just a computer guy. The toll of all this on my body over the last few days has been IMMENSE

I'm on a mini vacation in another part of the country and the culture is quite different. People have been generally kind, but everyone that I've told where I'm from has been very quick to note how my home state is a bunch of childish babies (weirdly as though I'm not a part of that state).

Just finished Stranger Things. I saw rumblings that people loved it or hated it. Even overheard someone in public today say, "expect to be let down" and I really don't understand. If you asked me to write the finale synopsis a week before it aired I'd have been 95% accurate. It was fine.

Shockingly addicted to Tears of the Kingdom right now. It still has a lot of issues just like BotW did, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun.

I was very excited when I groggily watched the iiSU presentation on my phone right after waking up the other day. Now it's fallen apart in record time... really disappointed in everything that's come to light. Scummy dev(s), AI coding, misrepresenting the mock-up footage...

Another year, another Game Awards that is apparently happening (or happened?) without me being aware. Playing video games every day AND being offline is very rewarding.

For my coursework today, there's an assignment that mentions only about 50% of people experience chills or "frisson" when listening to music. I couldn't immediately recognize if I was one of those people, but I listened to the first 2 seconds of the song "The Other Promise", and yeah, I totally am

This week, my College Writing class has two assignments: 1) edit and finalize our draft essay, and 2) reflect on how we would write the essay differently.
It's my first semester, and stuff like this every week is making me think I've gone crazy. Is this not covering the exact same thing??

Confusingly, I have signed up for a bunch of asynchronous/completely online classes at school, and yet one of them has *important* zoom lectures that I have to attend at specific times? I don't understand how that's asynchronous at all, and I'm not sure what to do about it

Doing all this college prep and I'm shocked with how difficult and maze-like the onboarding process can be. Don't they want money from me? Why make it so you have to navigate a string of antiquated webpages to do anything?

After nearly 6 months, I finally finished my first, blind solo run of Baldur's Gate 3. It took over 150+ hours and I almost never long-rested. Once I finished the game my friends told me all the things I missed and it's hilarious. What a great game. Loved it.

Not sure the last time I took reviews of anything too seriously. A general consensus certainly tells a story, but you never know when something that didn't work for the general audience is gonna land for you specifically. And the same vice versa as well. You know your tastes; form your own opinion

Quite amazing how often a bsky post has absolutely no context and makes its way onto my feed, where I can only look at the comments and hope to guess what it's about. Just saw something about the "pro" weapon and "missiles," but have absolutely no clue. Splatoon maybe? Not in my sphere at all.

Big House M.D. fan. Rewatching the series, and wow. "S2E24 - No Reason" is some amazing TV, in my opinion.

Finally reached Act III of Baldur's Gate 3! It's taken me months of on-and-off sessions, probably 90+ hours of meticulous and thorough exploration, trying to experience everything I can while staying true to myself and being spoiler free. Such a good and fun game, but can't wait to finish it.
