You know what? I’ve never seen Librarians! It wasn’t available for me when it came out! The Mummy (w Brendan Fraser) was a HUGE influence as was Indiana Jones… and my house cat. I’ll have to watch!

Good read ot danger of fad diets selling vibes, not health. ‘The rise of raw veganism has been accompanied by the rise of a cottage industry of health coaches and self-styled experts purporting to help people recover from various illnesses using a raw-fruit-based diet.’ apple.news/AU8CI1cEoT8e...

Karolina Krzyzak went to Bali to meet the raw-vegan influencers she’d followed for years. She never made it back home.

I have books. You have legal tender. I’m told we can trade these things and that’s how commerce works.

I’m really sorry to hear that, Stephen. I’ve shared and will keep my ears out.

Today's been kind of a rough day. I learned earlier that my current gig will be ending 10/17. Though the timing is never great it's not really surprising. Was hoping to get a few more months out of it, though.

Anyway, if anybody's hiring here's my LinkedIn profile: www.linkedin.com/in/stephen-b...

My flight has now been delayed four times since last night and I think one more delay might mean I miss my five minutes to talk.

Remember me saying my publisher was flying me to San Francisco to talk for five minutes?

Well guess who's in (the very long security) line at the airport?

Japan has a wrestling camp for kids where at the end they have a show match in front of their parents to show off what they learned.

Thought you'd enjoy this.

‘Y’see, Timmy, I don’t really believe in writer’s block. I think it’s just a big, catch-all name we throw over other problems. Fear.’ Well said!

I never did a ranty writing blog post for this week. Which I felt kind of crap about, until I remembered I never mentioned the one from *last* week.

Sooooo HEY-- last week on the ranty writing blog, I explain how writers block is partially caused by elves.

If that sounds interesting to you...

I’m planning out this massive book tour for God’s Junk Drawer at the end of the year and it’s kind of freaking me out in a few ways. Once or thrice now I’ve sort of stopped and quietly shifted my atte...

But seriously, tomorrow I’m hosting the Coffeehouse noon to three at @mystgalaxybooks.bsky.social in San Diego. It’s absolutely free, no sign up, no requirements. Just show up and talk about writing, publishing, and some of the weird spots where they overlap. Or don’t talk and just lurk. That's cool

And now, a brief update on some recent GOD'S JUNK DRAWER news.

GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that's all I can say for now.
The cover for GOD'S JUNK DRAWER, showing the title in bright green superimposed over a Tyrannosaurus skeleton in a black void. Around the skeleton are other random objects-- a bionic arm, a human skull, a wooden spear, a spacesuit helmet.
