I was thinking that it's so cool to see people engaging and growing on social media, because it gives hope that it is still possible to grow on the internet these days.

I keep wondering what could I even share on social media? It feels like I don’t have anything valuable to post, and when I do come up with a topic, it never seems “good enough.”

One of the things that makes me less anxious is organization. Because my mind is already disorganized enough.
Because of that, I try to keep my desk and environment more organized. The same goes for the folders on my laptop and Google Drive. Also, I use Notion to plan my week.

I’ve realized I’ve been spending way too much time on social media. Even though I set a timer on my phone, I just end up turning it off and scrolling through short videos anyway.

It’s crazy how easily I get distracted, depending on what I’m doing. If I’m illustrating something I love, I can go for hours without even realizing how much time has passed. But if I’m working on something like social media content or emails?

Taking the first step to start something is so hard, especially when it’s a big project. For instance, I’ve been postponing a big project for months: a dummy for a story I wrote for a children’s book.

I haven’t posted any new videos on my YouTube channel in the past three weeks, but I was so happy to see that I’ve passed 200 subscribers! It really means a lot to know that there are people out there who enjoy what I share and want to support me.
Huge thanks to everyone who has supported me! 💚

Today, I put together the newsletter that’s going out tomorrow! I shared a bit about what I’ve been up to this past week and opened up a little about what’s been on my mind lately as an illustrator and content creator.

After 3 weeks without showing up here, I'm back. I caught the flu that kept me on the couch for a week. Then I needed another week to get my energy back. Getting back into the routine after being sick for almost two weeks is challenging, but here I am :)

I caught a bad flu, and after almost 5 days on the couch, I'm slowly getting back to my routine :)
At least, I caught up on the series and movies, including:
- Atonement
- Arcane (season 2)
- Grave of the fireflies

Almost 200 subscribers💚
Making videos is not easy for me. My critical self always thinks that the video I recorded is not enough, that it lacks real content, and that I'm wasting time.
But seeing each new view, comment, new subscriber, and like makes me happy and makes me think about not giving up💚💚

This was the first illustrated map I made. It was a final project for the Inky Maps course by @mrtomfroese.bsky.social.
I hope to visit these castles in Scotland one day, but in the meantime, I decided to draw this region.

A big struggle for me as an introvert is going to events and trying to talk to new people to make connections. What are your tactics for starting conversations with people you don't know?

I've never eaten marshmallows around a campfire, but I think it would be a fun thing to do with friends.
I made this illustration for an October challenge called Funky Pumpkin. The theme of this illustration was Halloween Pumpkin Night.

I’ve seen some illustrators get upset with the new Instagram grid layout. The problem here is that a lot of people had already been designing posts and illustrations in square formats, or even creating the “perfect feed,” where one post connects to the next with some graphic element. [1/5] #artist

Sketches I did for last week's theme for my Fantasy Art Club. The theme was potions, so I shared the references on a Pinterest board.
If you want to join in the next theme, it's candle handle. You can read the details on how to join in my newsletter. The link is in my bio.

This week I started prospecting for children's book publishers again. I always wonder if my portfolio is good enough to prospect, but I think it's better to get a no than not to try at all.
Do you have any tips on prospecting publishers?

I had fun making this illustration, but I also had difficulty drawing the background, as it was full of elements.

Usually when I create an illustration, it doesn't come to mind ready-made. For example, for Hansel and Gretel's illustration, I went through a few steps before finishing it, such as reference research, sketches, color sketches, line art, and, finally, painting.
