Shōgun is a beautiful and well-made production that I just can’t be arsed to finish.

I am just now learning that Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is the THIRD movie. I don’t remember the existence of a Now You See Me 2 and I kind of refuse to believe it exists.

I haven’t seen anyone talking about how Ansel Elgort and Alden Ehrenreich are this generation‘s Bill Paxton/Pullman or Dylan McDermott/Dermot Mulroney, but I can’t be the only one, right?

My roommate refuses to allow the heat to be on. Bro, it’s 45 degrees outside. If not now, when?

It’s a great feeling when you text two friends that you’ll be in town for the next few days and they both heart it and then you never hear from them again.

This apparently has been fixed.
Turns out Bluesky is banned in Mississippi. I didn’t really miss much while I was gone, which should tell me something, yet here I am.

90s fashion is back and I love it, but notably it’s specifically early 90s fashion. I don’t think we’ll be getting the millennial futurism of late 90s fashion. The future’s not bright enough to handle translucent neon and silver pants.

I feel like every field used to be like this. In the 60s, Jim Shooter got a job writing Legion of Super-Heroes at 14 because he kept mailing DC ideas. As late as the 90s, multiple tv shows had programs where anybody could send in a spec script and they’d buy it if they liked it.
Let me tell y'all something. In the 20s, 30s, and 40s, colleges were just hiring every one of their graduates. None of this "go work somewhere else first and then we'll bring you home" stuff.

Shogun has English as English and Portuguese as English, but Japanese as Japanese, even though the majority of the show is in Japanese. I don’t get it.

Sometimes the Tokyo Vice subtitles translate Japanese, sometimes they write the Japanese words, and sometimes they just wrote, “[speaking Japanese]”.

I have no idea what their thought process is.

The Avengers: Doomsday teaser was Steve coming home and holding a baby. Rumors say the first 4 weeks of Avatar will each have a different teaser, but I hope they keep it up for a whole year. Every week. Different character. Doing nothing. And the counter is counting down the whole time.

There are many things I might’ve expected to hear on this show, but “do you want to help me steal an asteroid?” was not one of them.

Every illustration of Little Miss Muffet I’ve seen has her out in the wilderness. But do you know what a “tuffet” is? It, I have just learned, is a footstool. That bitch was at home. Grass-touching stolen valor.

Welcome to Derry is 2 for 2 on episodes with scenes of horrific childbirths. I’m no therapist, but the writer may want to look into that

It’s probably not a good sign that my favorite episode of Mythic Quest so far has been the episode about completely different characters working on a completely different game in a completely different time period.
