I spent 20 minutes trying to force myself not to write a post that would have gotten me a visit from the FBI. So new plan, every time I feel the need to write one of these posts, I’m just putting an unpopular opinion in this thread. Ideally one of these will get me run off BlueSky so I stop posting.

When I did my Byzantine deep dive I was shocked at how often the Romans would sign peace agreements with their neighbor that were only meant to last for a year or two, and even more surprised no one tried to do any kind of sneak attacks.

NTSB cared about, I should say. God knows what they care about now, probably trying to prevent chemtrails or making sure all female flyers received permission from a husband or father.

I’m not here to defend an airline, but “passenger in emergency exit row that refuses to follow directions” is legitimately a thing the NTSB cares about, which is why they have to do this.

Realistically they’re never getting their money back, would be easier them to just fly to the final destination
