The door in front of you bears your name, painted in bright, child-like letters. It swings open effortlessly, revealing a room unlike anything else you’ve seen in this house.

It’s your room. Your room as it was in your parent’s house over ten years ago.

But unlike that room, this one is spotless, pristine even. Not a speck of dust can be seen on any surface. A perfect recreation of the room you spent your most formative years in.

What is the most notable feature of this room?

In what way is this room glaringly different from the one you remember?

A photo of three women, embracing one another as they smile at the camera. The woman in the center is clearly your mother, likely in her late teens. You don’t recognize the others.

Your mother’s message is waiting for you on the back of the photo when you turn it over.

“Your aunts—Vanessa and Gloria. This was the last time we were all together, right before they left. They begged me to go with them, to leave the family behind, but I couldn’t.

We were always told that leaving would cause the family to fall and I couldn’t take that chance.

Someone had to stay.

I thought I could change things. I thought I could save us.

Instead, I just kept us on the same damned path.

I’m sorry you’re on it now.

You would have liked Vanessa and Gloria, there’s so much of them in you.
I wonder where they are now.”

A framed letter hangs on the wall in front of you—dated over 50 years ago from the town council of Dunlin Bay thanking the Braddock family, as well as the Braddock Bank and Trust, for their contributions to the local community. The letter declares that the local park will be renamed Braddock Park in honor of the family. In the corner of the letter is a handwritten note in an elaborate calligraphy

This is what we are capable of together. Here is to the further celebration of the Braddock Family.

Framed photos hang on either side of the letter—a smiling group of family members (some you recognize, some you don’t) standing around a large sign that reads “Braddock Park.” One figure stands out amongst your family members, out of place yet familiar all at once.

What about this person immediately draws your eye?

Do you notice that their eyes start to follow you?

You hear the sounds of singing from one room over—a familiar tune that your mother sang to you when you were young. The voice is not one you recognize, but you are still eager to see the source of the sound, tired of wandering the halls of the manor alone.

As you leave the room and go next door, you are surprised to see that there’s no longer another door in the hallway. The voice becomes louder and more frantic as the song continues without any discernible source, the words garbled as the volume increases.

Resolute to find the source, you walk down the hallway in the direction of the voice, all the while it wails your grandmother’s song.

Move the CURIOSITY track forward.

What warning or clue was hidden in the song?

How long do you follow the song before giving up your search for its source?
