He said "You need sixty votes in the Senate."

No, sir. YOU need sixty votes in the Senate. And YOU wrote a bill that could not get sixty votes. YOU failed by intentionally bringing a DOA bill.

Write a bill that can get sixty votes. That's the majority party's job.

My favorite feature of social media is how it grants people so much insight into the motivations of strangers that they can confidently describe them to a global audience.

I the real world, most folks don't understand their own motivations, let alone have knowledge about the motivations of others.
