Right, if TTS serves little difference that physical play does, that's awesome.

I've just met many people (me included) where the tactile component is a fun, important part of the experience.

I'm glad I completed my collection last year, I'd be pretty bummed currently which I empathize with.

This is just an extremely reductive take for something I think deserves more nuance.

Games going out of print will happen, that's fine, but people are ALSO fine to be upset, especially if they were just getting into the game and wanted a full collection.

Physical play is fun, getting scalped sucks

this is so sick

Just butting on this section because this is a weird solution. Playing a game on TTS and playing with cards physically are completely different experiences lmao.

I'm in the camp the changes are generally good for the game, I just hope the community rallies for high quality proxy creators.

Tried to write it out to the best of my ability but I can elaborate.

The bins aren't complex, I keep the hero decks together with their nemesis sets, then divide the rest of the cards by aspect, then by card type in EACH aspect.

Gave a few examples of what I included as "staples".

I'm from TCGs too and I still mostly build all purpose "good stuff" decks, its just there are certain scenarios where putting a couple of specifically targeted seems "mandatory".

Great part of this game is the difficulty is truly modular to almost a granular level. Tech as much/little to have fun!

Give me a second here, I'm probably going to write it out and attach it as an image and hopefully it'll help you out / get you gaming easier!

Ultron is tough for sure, always fun to notice how all of the corebox heroes all have specific options for handling Ultron somewhat effectively (minus Peter).

I tech my decks for Ultron most times, he is absolutely brutal with no drone answers.

Sabertooth can be BRUTAL!

Probably one of the most difficult first box villains in the entire game.

The Staples binder just has really commonly used cards: Basic & Aspect staples

All my other cards are in the Bins, sorted by aspect -> card type.

Since the binder has a lot of space for staples + archetype staples, it makes sourcing them easy.

More niche cards in the bins, makes deckbuild easier

I'm not sure if this will help at all, but I've found a couple things that have helped me with this exact issue.

I rarely deckbuild with my entire collection in front of me, so I often find myself thinking out a deck on MarvelCDB.

After that, I have 2 diff. storage methods: Bins + "Staples Binder"

What has been your favorite custom hero/design for you thus far and what was their main mechanic?
December 20, 2024 at 10:42 PM
Star Lord is so much fun, he can have some insane burst damage turns
December 15, 2024 at 4:39 PM
EXACTLY! I got into the game this year but all of the x-men are really fun.

Getting AoA for Christmas this year so I'm excited to delve into Bishop and Magik

he's definitely a MUST include hero though

I don't particularly care for him much but ill be really excited when he does show up.
December 13, 2024 at 2:43 AM
that's so unfortunate.
jokes on them they don't know what they're missing
