Lord Offord had his sights on entering Holyrood before, standing as a list candidate for Lothian in 2021 election, but ScotTories put him at no. 5 on their list, so he had no chance. Unclear which constituency or list he intends go for in 2026, but plenty of current Lothian list MSPs won't be back..

I suspect Starmer's instinct has always been for incremental reintegration with the EU but the country (& the Gov) can't wait. He either needs to move now or lose the next GE. Why does he always have to follow rather than lead public opinion?
