(Though compared to his novels, I have actually not really read a great deal of his short stories)

I’m partial to “Crouch End”

I think he’s genuinely great in the GOTG movies because James Gunn understands his appeal is not in playing a two-fisted action hero, but in playing a big galoot who THINKS he’s a two-fisted action hero. He always needed to be playing the Kurt Russell in “Big Trouble in Little China”-type parts.

Sure, I weirdly wasn’t a big fan of that one lol.

I thought his Vietnamese War series was excellent, as was The U.S. and the Holocaust. There’s always going to be some backlash to people trying to make history accessible to the masses.

Feels clear everyone knows Trump is on his way out, right?

People love it when presidents give a primetime address to lecture them about the economy, right?

I see Hannukah and Christmas—the entire holiday season, really—as ultimately being about the same thing: hope. The idea that in the darkest part of the year, there can be light.

Also is going to be in the new Spielberg-directed UFO movie coming out next June

One of the best movies ever made.

The only thing that would make all this shit worth it is if it leads to the GOP being wiped out for a generation or more. Maybe that’s wishful thinking, but here’s hoping 🤞

I think he’s really good in The Fabelmans playing Spielberg’s dad.

Once again, I do think everyone on this site is underestimating Harris bulldozing her way through the primaries to the nomination should she decide to run again. I really think the vast majority of actual voters don’t really blame her for 2024, so I don’t think that stink will be on her.

I was fine with Harris campaigning with Cheney, and I’m fine with this. Like, take the w people.

Like, I’ve been pro-Kamala since she first ran for president and think she would’ve been a good president, possibly very good, but geez, folks need to get a grip.
