It’s been a Hozier heavy day. There’s really not a bad time for Nina Cried Power, but I still can’t make it through Abstract (Psychopomp) without breaking.

Book number five of 2025 is a re-read from last year! Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas came in at no.2 for me in 2024, the sequel comes out on September 16th of this year! I can’t wait!

I’ve decided to start a little side project for my WIP. Each of my characters writes a poem. This could be cute. And heart-wrenching.

Today is for river poetry, earl grey tea, and reflecting on 2024.

The constant winter conflict of finding wonder in everything that glitters in the frost like you’re in a high fantasy from the 1980s, but hating it because it’s too cold to enjoy it for more than a few seconds at a time.

Currently reading: Thirty Two Words For Field by Manchán Magan as part of my research both for myself and for my current WIP. Absolutely love this book so far.

Playing Don’t Starve Together for the first time in ages. I have a vague memory of this place.
