Not to rain on the “Manufacturing is coming back to America” party, but we all understand that robots and AI will be doing most of those jobs on the factory floor, right? It’ll be great for American oligarchs, though!

How do you win over simple people when the realities are complex? Demagogues do it by oversimplifying issues while stoking fears. Except fear grows exponentially, and war becomes inevitable. Do you believe there is a “critical mass” to fear, a point at which the ‘fear spiral’ cannot be stopped?
