I say savings and investment because what laws are stopping those who set price points from saying, "Everyone had a bunch of extra money now. Let's get sumdat."? Nothing. What is to stop rent increasing AND goods/services increasing in a way that outpaces the stipend?

I'd pay down debts and attend Adult Education courses (how to do home plumbing, etc), and I'd work on my savings. Ideally you'd want this money to immediately circulate through the economy, but what does it matter if I spend my work paycheck on rent or my UBI check?

Humans have a tendency to anthropomorphize Things. I think this has a lot to do with the way we're wired as social creatures, that creating a common ground between the participants in an interaction frees up mental space for focusing on more important things. A "hack", if you will.
