I’m not a liberal and I agree there is a class war. But voting for third parties who can’t win is effectively like abstaining from voting.

Research the “spoiler effect” and why conservative PACs backed Jill Stein (Green Party) in 2024.

Currently, people are working on election reforms (locally) to make third party and independent candidates viable.

In the mean time, splitting the liberal/left vote and handing Republicans wins isn’t a great idea.

The two parties are beholden to the same interests, but they do have differences.

I think it’s broadly understood. However, our political system (at the national level in particular) only supports two parties (first past the post voting, legislation enshrining “bi-partisanship”, etc). So liberals are forced to work with the party closest to those values.
