This argument confuses why with how. Motive and means aren’t either/or. Citing “more deaths” from revolvers ignores exposure—raw counts ≠ risk. It also lumps suicides with mass violence, where weapon lethality matters. Loaded rhetoric ≠ evidence.

Your basically saying - hey this legislation specifically designed to fix this problem, did not have an effect on a the problem it was trying to solve, shortly after it passed.

This is why the gun buyback was coupled with broad reform - including licensing based on legitimate reason - and it worked! This incident was a very very rare occurrence.
