I would be less worried if the higher courts had consistently shown more willingness to act as the check and balance they should be rather than bowing to trump (perhaps in fear, perhaps in ambition) as they often seem to have recently...

Adding to the bill, operating costs for these aircraft probably run around $8,500 per flight hour. It varies depending on how many hours a year you fly and other factors, but that's a reasonable ball park figure. The cost goes beyond the purchase price.

Nice! The padauk will darken over time (which I'm sure you know, but buyers might not).

Thanks! Good to have something to compare with. In this case I wanted to err on the tall side initially, since that's easier to fix - if needed I can just cut the bottom off to bring them down a little. (The finish is shellac which is easy to touch up in spots.)

Yeah the king and queen might be a little tall. I wanted them to be easily distinguished, but maybe it's a little much. Thanks!!

Well, how identifiable they are is a bit subjective - what do you think? I have not played with it much yet so I'm not entirely sure. Might try a different design for the bishops. Shellac finish. Thanks!
