I agree but you’d be surprised how many “independent energy experts” over on X quite seriously say that coal powers stations are the only option to “keep the lights on”.

Your piece with the BBC on More or Less is being widely touted by UK based climate change skeptics on X as a kind of “gotcha” moment. Doesn’t seem like it could be what they’re making it out to be.

Interesting discussion. The paper made me think that UKs current approach to energy policy is…about right or at least righter than anything we had in the decade from 2015. Do you agree @mliebreich.bsky.social.

Just on the point about decarbonisation of electricity. There doesn’t seem to be much difference between what you say and what the UK government is saying. But for the Telegraph etc. the government’s approach is close to heresy.
