More specifically, I got the Crystal Light Engine, and my goodness is this better than whatever I was conjuring up.

When Hemi has full Aura, her natural light will glow rainbow!

It appears that theres a scale problem with the new game!

I wanted to make the entities bigger, but also increasing the hammer by the same scale was problematic.

Unfortunately, im gonna have to tone the attack range down; I hope this doesnt undermine the giant hammer fantasy!

Who knows how good it would've been, but it was looking to be one grand, ambitious game. Too much for its own good most likely...but I would still love to see more of it resurface in some way. I love its well shaped environments and its exaggerated animations (see Chilly)

It flies slower vertically, and if it lands an attack, it will be sent flying far away, due to its low poise!

A classic enemy is returning!

Seedrift is a pretty fast flyer, but it has a hard time adjusting its height. Gameplay will come soon!

Experimenting with a revamped, more manga-inspired VFX. Having the luxury of color of course makes it feel different, but I'm really fond of manga's black & white philosophy for maximum clarity, so it's smth I wanted to try out.

How does it look to you?

This #screenshotsaturday, a new special attack is born!

Hemi's down special is a more defensive skill, but one that can be charged up for respectable all-around damage!

When at full Aura, it also heals per units hit. Thisll be one of the only ways to heal in combat!

Updates have been slow around here, haven't they?

Oops. It's been a bit tough adjusting to work on a new game, compared to the "finishing a game" I was in for a while.

Right on! God bless fan emulators for advancing shader tech.

Kirby Super Star is one of my fav games, and I used to think this game looked a bit strange, but once playing it w/ CRT shaders, then on an actual CRT, no it was just designed for CRTs in a way that doesnt translate as well to LCDs.

This #screenshotsaturday, here's one of many new mechanics, Poise!

Everyone will have a unique Poise value w/ it decreasing alongside HP. Knockback will be applied to both entities, influenced by the difference of poise. This makes fights more dynamic!

This #screenshotsaturday, shields have been re-added, alongside a new grounded down attack!

Shields were in Astropods: Starside Glaze for a bit, but were removed to incentivize hyper offense. Now, I'm going lean towards balance, w/ legitimate defensive options.

Purchased my 1st ever music CD! Im not even that young, it just never happened til now.

Found this gem at a Japanese bookstore in SF & I think this is the beginning of an expensive journey of mine.

Hemi's Jabs are (mostly) complete! Each jab is a distinct hit, rather than a rapid jab.

Even added some additional dust particles this time around.
