Snapshots of a #cheetah rescue in Somaliland! The group of ten cubs was rescued last month, and transferred to the Cheetah Rescue and Conservation Centre (CRCC). It’s that special time – the Model Farm’s dairy #goat kidding season! Each year, we plan two kidding seasons so that every goat is only bred once annually, ensuring a supply of milk for our Dancing Goat Creamery, which produces #dairy products for supermarkets, cafes, and lodges across #Namibia.

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Etuhole Kindergarten from Otjiwarongo. Our education team gave the kindergarteners a tour of our Centre, but the highlight of the visit was meeting Tiger, one of our amazing Livestock Guarding #Dogs! We're pretty sure Tiger loved the visit too.

Just a few seconds of Peter and Tigerlily, the oldest resident #cheetahs at our Centre in #Namibia. The #cats were rescued back in 2010, when they were just a few weeks old. Last month, the siblings turn 15!

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 59,000 people die of #rabies each year, primarily in Africa and Asia. In Namibia, CCF has conducted targeted rabies vaccination outreach programs in communal conservancies since 2019, protecting people and #wildlife. For more, visit cheetah.org

It's #AfricanWildDog Day! Recently, researchers from CCF published a study on the pioneering use of a trained scat #dog to track these #endangered wild canids in southern Africa's Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area.
