I can see the attention spans being a universal shift, given the usage of phones as an extension of ourselves.

There are many ways to say it, but I think there is credence in the theory that the generations after millennials see the truth in "ignorance being bliss". More work is the consequence of good work, so why challenge ourselves? (It pains me to see this, but it is my observation.)
