My first thought about this Havertz injury is that the team deserves better. The manager & the board have failed them. They’ve given it their all game after game but a refusal to buy means they suffer the consequences. Another season wasted. They’ll wonder if their ambitions can be achieved at AFC…

Arsenal just can’t cope with Newcastle’s physicality and intensity. Not giving Arsenal any time on the ball and when Arsenal do progress the ball their CBs can cope with the hopefully crosses and cutbacks with ease.

Newcastle absolutely have Arsenal’s number over this tie. Defence can easily soak up the pressure, funnel Arsenal’s attack wide and deal with the hopeful cutbacks or hopeful crosses. Combine with some classic shithousery and clinical finishing and I can’t see Arsenal getting back into this at all.
