Live every week like it’s shark week
Our state HD sent our local environmental inspectors into all of our county stores to physically pull it off the shelves because a week into the recall, it was still being sold at CVS and Wal-Mart.

First Christmas with my husband, his dad is sitting in a chair sulking while his four kids and 8 grandkids open presents. I asked what was wrong and he said “Christmas isn’t the same once your parents are gone”. Which is true but sir you are 75. Go hang out with your grandkids my god.

He always looks like he is just as shocked as we are that he has this job

I work in public health, and the application for SNAP is way more extensive than Medicaid. Also, at the worst exploitation of SNAP, people who won’t absolutely starve without it are getting some extra food?? I mean what are we even doing here.

This is like 15 miles away from me. So bizarre to see it made national news. Like 30,000 people live in our whole county lol.

Why does a 54yo high school drop out care what happens on a college campus

Real layup for an opposition party to take advantage of. Be super cool if we had one.

I work for local government, and even our secretaries have their faces, job duties, and salaries listed on the website. If you are paid with taxpayer dollars, then the taxpayers should know who you are and what you do.

We typically don’t give it under 4 anyway, so the only way this makes any sense is they are trying to sow mistrust in live vaccines.

In the AP article I read, they said that VFC isn’t affected by the decision, but Medicaid won’t cover it. In our LHD, maybe 5% of VFC eligible kids aren’t covered by Medicaid. So the vast majority of VFC kids are Medicaid covered. How does this make any sense at all?

It also will end up making things worse for everyone! If rural hospitals close, those patients will be funneled into already over-stressed urban systems creating even longer wait times and worsening the staffing shortages.

Toddlers have been doing this for millennia. Very effective against leaving the park and apparently also leaving a protest.

Public health nurse, and like a solid 1/3 of my annual flu and covid shots go in the arms of older people literally wearing Trump gear to the appointment

Sorry to the haters, but he’s right. I’m an under 40 and just left a nursing conference. One of the presenters (who I’ve worked with before and is super intelligent and knowledgeable) lost the audience’s attention completely because of the “umm, like, you know” between sentences.

My two year old knows all her letters and numbers just by being a person in the world lol. You would have to be actively keeping your kid from learning for them to not know basics by 4 unless they have some sort of disability.

Also was notified today to stop sending them animal rabies cases because there is no one there to work them. They said they will only handle human cases for now and it’s up to the states to deal with the rest.

Just finished this episode, and I’m not a derm but I am a nurse, and you and David might be describing tinea veriscolor and not vitiligo. It’s usually worse after sun exposure and can last for years unless treated. Worth checking out.

I live 2hrs from Chicago and everyone in my small town is either too scared to take their yearly chartered bus to wrigley now or they go 25 times a year and think the cubs bus people are idiots. There is no in between.
