Bats being experimented on remember the position and identities of researchers working on them.

Neural activity in the bat hippocampus was influenced by who and where the experimenters were, regardless of whether the bats were flying or at rest.

Molecule of the Month, part 1: FD&C Red 40, also known as Allura Red AC, is a synthetic food dye that appears vividly red with a maximum absorbance at 504 nm. Prior research has suggested that the prevalence of Red 40 coincides with the rise in early onset colorectal cancer.

Metabolic pathways and their relevance to disease. For example, patients with phenylketonuria (an autosomal recessive disorder) are unable to efficiently break down phenylalanine, leading to toxic levels of phenylalanine in the blood that can cause developmental issues like microcephaly.
