Cochlear implants and spatial hearing: Enabling access to the next dimension of hearing.
Cochlear implants (CI) can restore hearing in the deaf. Yet, spatial hearing, crucial for attention control and speech understanding in noise has been ignored in designing implants and rehabilitation programs. Using a patient-centred, multidisciplinary approach, CherISH improves hearing in CI-users.
