Lifelong learner.
Don't forget Ted Cruz. He kissed so passionately that he got sucked in - might explain why we don't see much of him anymore. Rubio is a MAGA prisoner like the rest of the GOP in Congress - he'll say what they want him to say.

The question is what we do about it. Ideas?

They're scared of all of *us* finding out. They already know what's going on.

Never too late to win a Darwin award.

That would require him to actually make it far enough into the tournament, which... let's see.

This has been true under Democratic and Republican administrations alike. Clearly, there is no real interest by the political class to try to even lessen - if not solve - the problem. I've lost count of how many times I've heard "something must be done".

Andrew Johnson and Warren Harding also came after Lincoln, and are considered among the worst US presidents. Bush, Hoover and Nixon weren't amazing either. Sometimes we take steps back. I'm sure we'll take steps forward again.

How I wish someone would provide examples of what Biden could do rather than just talk in the abstract about "helping the people".

Ok, what's the plan to avert this threat?

Same. Truly inexplicable and likely unfair.

As a Democrat, 2024 has been an odd year. The refrain of the spring and summer was "old people = bad". Now in the fall and winter, it's whataboutism and retreat from other principles (e.g. Democratic politicians blaming the loss on "too much" focus on DEI). It's like we're losing our identity.

What are your plans to safeguard Washingtonians' rights and freedoms in the next four years? And which of those plans could ordinary citizens get involved with?

States like Washington should offer asylum to Texan women, with some relocation assistance. This is a form of persecution after all.

To nominate a vaccine skeptic to an important health leadership role is peak idiocy. I only hope it strengthens individual states' resolve to do the right thing.

Biden knew exactly who he was running against, and said so throughout both his campaign and Kamala's. Trump's lack of morals is a surprise to nobody. Biden's reversal is a surprise, even if you understand his actions as a parent. It sets a precedent for Democrats that will last beyond Trump's term.

The president shouldn't be able to get himself or his family out of legal responsibility, period. I'm not equating Biden with Trump, but either you believe in this principle, or you don't. Even Biden believed in it initially.

The problem with the "they did it first" argument - not just when it comes to Hunter's pardon - is that you show your principles are situation-dependent. It's hard to come back from that. Joe said he wouldn't pardon his son, and then did it anyway. I get it on a human level, but it's a bad look.
