A screenshot of my Bluesky timeliness- it's a Christmas miracle.
Ps. I read that recipe in Guardian Feast yesterday and it might not fit the 'reasonably easy' bit of the brief.

We are guests elsewhere at Christmas but for New Year, and just the 2 of us, I’ve ordered Baron Bigod and Stichelton plus a lump of quince paste.

Also celeriac. Roast a whole one and it feeds 4-6. Make soup with a whole one and you’ll be eating it for 100 days.

Same issue with lack of trays. I've found Yorkshire pudding trays are great and then you can slip them out and store in zip locks when they are frozen.

If you want to do what the locals do one day, get a bus to Pedragalejo or El Palo and go for lunch at Restaurante El Caleño or Chiringuito El Merlo.

Finally, a chip shop that cooks the chips to a proper colour. None of that peely wally nonsense.

Love a Mexican bean.
We are having red mullet cooked in a thyme and garlic dressing with mash and green beans. Fish and recipe from Rockfish online seafood market.
Bare Bones Chocolate for nibbling afterwards - it is the best Chocolate I've ever eaten.
There will be wine.
