Sure, I find inspiration in nature. Same with music or art. But right now? I’m finding inspiration in dog slobber.
We're always asked where ideas come from & for me, it’s the everyday moments—the wagging tails, the goofy grins, & yes, the slobbery kisses—that spark the best ideas. Who inspires you?

Did you know that Featherita is perfectly sized for little hands? Charlie's already showing herself just how fun and exciting reading can be.
Watching her explore the pages is a reminder of how books spark curiosity and joy-even in the littlest readers. bookshop.org/p/books/feat... #booksforbaby

The tortoise knows what the world sometimes forgets: the beauty of the journey lies in each deliberate step forward, in the wisdom of simply being. Watching an animal in the wild is like connecting with nature’s secrets, a moment that stirs wonder & invites me to imagine new stories. #writinginsp

Sometimes inspiration sneaks up on you in the most unexpected ways—like when you’re out and catch a glimpse of a stunning art installation on a wall. Inspiration doesn’t wait for perfect moments—it lives in the everyday, ready to bloom when we stop and notice. #inspo

When you write a book, you just hope someone will enjoy it. And then you see reviews like this 🥹:
"My daughter loves that the main character wears glasses (my husband and I both wear them) and is a chicken - her grandparents have a chicken coop and now she calls all of their chickens Featherita!" 🙏🏻

Today's the day! My new picture book Featherita is HERE!
I'm so excited for young listeners to meet this little chick who's got her own brand of chick-inuity (with a big dose of giggles)!

Another great reason to shop at independent bookstores: Themed displays curated by actual humans who have read, loved, and personally recommend each story. #shopsmall #indiebookstore

Inspiration is everywhere, but I find it most often in nature - especially in the incredible animals that share our world.
I love asking myself "what if?" & "why?" - questions that lead me to explore the unique lives and experiences of these amazing creatures.
What inspired you?

Welcome! I look forward to connecting with you! 😊
I'm passionate about #kidlit, especially #picturebooks, #readingaloud, getting inspiration from nature, and #writing.
So if you're creating a #feed or #starterpack about those same passions, I hope you'll consider including me. 🙏🏻

It's never too early to start reading to your little ones-even from day one!
There's something magical about sharing a story, snuggled up with your cutie pie, creating memories (& giggles!) that last a lifetime.
How about you? Do you think Day One is too early? #readaloud
