Eighth Day Arts, I’ve seen several posts by this Vanessa woman and have wondered if there’s something suspicious with her: while she has profile pics seemingly of her, she’ll often literally repeat word for word responses across comments and posts pertaining to different topics, all demoralizing.

I’ve seen many of this woman’s posts before and I can confidently say she’s in the former category. She smugly looks down on any civilian form of resistance and thinks the only way out of this is a civil war. I can tell you that condescending is definitely an accurate word to describe her.

For real, as I said on that other post, what enslaved people in the antebellum south, workers in the Gilded Age, and soldiers in WWII faced were just as bad if not worse and to not fight and moan that there’s no point in trying is a direct insult to them. I tried being a doomer before. It sucked.

hautes mad [x24], I tried to have a reasonable exchange with this person on a different post the other day and I had to come to the conclusion that they’re just a misanthrope and proud, which is is a really sad, miserable existence. I admire your tenacity, but this one seems set on being like this.

Yes, it hurts to hope, but giving up is the coward’s way out. Yes, it might mean you’re never disappointed, but it also means you’re helping to create a self-fulfilling prophecy and protecting your own feelings over trying to create something better. I’m not sure what your circumstances are like, but it’s pretty privileged to have the luxury of giving up and it’s insulting to others who have fought and won before and to those with a ton to lose who haven’t resigned themselves to despair. There are literally no benefits to despairing.

I can accept that you may suffer from depression or some other similar affliction and as I noted elsewhere, I’m a recovering doomer who less than a year ago thought very much like you. That’s why I’m so harsh. You CAN realize you’re not alone, you CAN realize humans have endured worse and have won.

Nowhere did I ever imply that just Trump dying would end things. I never even mentioned Trump dropping dead. Contrary to what your insufferable mind thinks, I’m aware that this is a multifaceted problem and if you personally want to despair, go offline where it doesn’t demoralize others.

Hey, Chuck, since it’s not unlikely that corporate donors were breathing down your’s and the eight “yes’s” necks to re-open, you do realize that if millions lose healthcare or are made to pay much more, they won’t have money to continue giving to the profits of those airlines, etc.?
