It’s been a, the baby won’t eat, or take her paci, or sleep, or poop, I haven’t eaten since I woke up, I’ve only pumped twice, I haven’t gotten any work done, I still need to go to the bank to cash my check… kind of day. If my work would offer direct deposit we could have at least checked one

Just another day in social media. Americans are angry about what’s happening in our country. We express our anger, because we’re allowed to do that AND take whatever action we’re able. Canadians spew hate at us for not doing it enough or their way. Meanwhile we’re also trying to live our lives.

I received a heartbreaking email today: A paper in a special issue I’m editing is being retracted because one of its authors is afraid of losing their job and their legal status in the U.S. if they publish a scientific study on evolution. Yes, on evolution, nature's engine of diversity.

*sigh* Returning to work has been a mixed experience. Days like this, where the baby is fussy all day long, make the WFH days tough and hard to get stuff done over the weekend. Or to sleep. No wonder I caught a cold.

I wanted to go on a walk with the baby, but a fussy afternoon very quickly devolved into her going ballistic right when I was getting us (mostly her) ready to go. Long story. I just wanted to enjoy the 52° sunny weather while it was here.

What baffles me is he thinks/thought Trump has business acumen…? With all of his failed ventures. 🤔

Working with an IBCLC to try and salvage my dwindling milk supply, but I’m losing optimism every time I pump. I’m hoping these moringa capsules help, for starters. Also stressing about my CT results because it looks like they saw more than a kidney stone. There was mention of a cyst/mass?
