one thing i appreciate now is that modern translations capture that ヴァイザード meant “visored” (as in wearing a mask) rather than shrugging and going “wtf is a Vizard? oh well ship it”

ahh i love that so much. i had some konoha branded stuff that i joked was from my ninjutsu school

i thought people were playing along but turned out they didn’t know anime at all and thought i had gone to train ninjutsu. theyd seen me fight so they believed it.

oh hell yeah that's so cool. NA isn't hard scifi in that it doesn't actually really go into the how and why of the tech unless it's plot or reader relevant, but all the tech that exists has a Way That It Works and was designed to be real. i invented a new multicast derived network protocol haha
