Technically, they're still indie because they're independently owned. But the point is that unlike other studios, A24 gives full creative freedom to the artists and embraces small artists/niche projects.

If Epic Games didn't finance the development, there would be no AW2. Remedy knows what they're doing. They know that their games will become profitable eventually. They have 3 other projects in full-production.

Epic Games financed the production of the entire game, and the marketing. They didn't shoot themselves in the foot.

Ahh man... Monolith used to be one of my favorite studios. This is really sad. Stuck in the Warner Bros mines.

Yupp, PC port of Gears 1, helped with Gears 2, and made Judgment. Also made Bulletstorm and Painkiller. They're a good fit.
