i think i owe you my life

This whole drawing thing was supposed to just be bandages for my wounds that I carry from having to put music aside, so compared to most of my peers, I actually haven't been drawing for very long, and felt like I had to do a lot to prove myself. I still have an inferiority complex though askfkskfkg

I'm slowly warming up to the idea of playing and singing again. Perhaps I'll try again soon...

I guess I don't know what I expected. The fact this is getting a pass in any sort of way tells me we still have such a long way to go as a community. it's so fucking disappointing.

Ahh yes!! one of my close friends has been a long-time violinist now so she has been a big inspo when it came to figuring out a general pose for this character :D

I ended up embracing this style of journaling quite a bit!! and it feels much more exciting to go back and read stuff, because it can sometimes stimulate my brain and has often inspired me to work more or otherwise add onto the stuff I was writing about (bonus points, it works great w my ADHD LOL)

it's meant to be like a memory book of all the stuff you thought of, lived thru, spoken about in the moment, without carrying the weight of "this has gotta be a deep introspective written piece" or smth along those lines! much more casual but still ends up being meaningful down the line :3

a few yrs ago I found out about smth called the commonplace book, where instead of journaling the usual bizz, you write about anything that's on the mind in the moment - funny thing you saw that was stuck in your thoughts, ideas for things, things to Google about later, etc etc.

these ppl either haven't learned or haven't lived thru the deviantart ages because mfer they WILL find you OUT. you can't hide. idk why ppl think they're so slick w it. just trace for personal studies n improvement n don't post. its not hard. this attitude is so disgusting ugh
