I think an opportunity to update BR intercity lost and local and regional trains could be BR blue with tweaks to car ends.

Losing LNER, GWR and southeastern liveries for that would be poor judgement imo.

I think flag is too English Red Cross

The tweak to make half of a Union Jack look dynamic is forced and it might be inspired by the scotrail half saltire but placing the Red Cross on carriages seems wrong.

For trains that mainly run in England, bolder to just go with English flag.
