The last time the Cubs won 3 straight elimination games in the postseason was in 2016.

You might remember it.

But it’s a new team, a different era and a massive challenge ahead of them: beating the Brewers in 3 straight to advance to the NLCS.

Can it happen?

Connor Bedard launched the first shot of the NHL season. Later, a Frank Nazar breakaway led to his snipe for the Hawks' first goal.

The road team had the momentum. Seconds later, it was gone.

Matas Buzelis always wants to be coached harder.

That has been a trend since the forward arrived for his first training session with the Bulls last season. That means setting goals — and standards.

He has lofty expectations, and to reach them, Buzelis doesn’t want the coaching staff to hold back.

Last season's career-best numbers may be hard to replicate for Ryan Donato, but the 29-year-old Blackhawks forward knows he wants to produce at that level.

The Bears’ first practice coming out of the bye week is in the books. There will not be an injury report until Thursday.

With that said, I did not see the following players at practice: K Cairo Santos, S Jaquan Brisker, DT Grady Jarrett, RT Darnell Wright, TE Colston Loveland.
