Okay, so I have to ask as a non-expert (American): when I do a similar bird call, to get tonal variations I have to move my fingers open and closed. Shane keeps his hands closed the whole time: do we think the calls were dubbed in?

In winter, I get up at night and dress by yellow candlelight. In summer are quite the other way I have to go to bed by day.

I would say the caveat that addresses your exception is that the more democratic institutions must be confronted with the evidence. People might be voting on vibes, but people in courtrooms spend days receiving and analyzing evidence.
