They also clearly hate artists in general.

Do you think not having to deal with belligerent twats is bad?

Yep. I don't know any fascist who isn't just miserable

Well Meta is already doing the convincing pretty well, and I hope they keep it up. The biggest hurdle is educating people about these new protocols and pID. If you already have an ID on Bluesky you wouldn't need to migrate anything.

People only use it for the events and the groups features (and marketplace), and those shouldn't be that difficult to replicate. If it's on the ATProto the users won't need to make a new profile, that's the beauty of persistent ID. It doesn't have to be a full on fb clone, just those two things.

I think it's great that both facebook and instagram go full mask-off fascist firehose and turn into such inhospitable places that no normal person would want to stick around. Now the landscape should be ripe for someone to make a healthier alternative on ATProto, the fediverse or similar

A sense of community and belonging. That's why they'll defend it irrationally and will go along with any absurdity, nobody wants to lose connection with their friends and peers.

Going from pro tools or cubase/nuendo to studio one is pretty painless. You might suffer a little coming from FL or Ableton but that's because those two are very particular. I find Studio One way more agile and seamless than pro tools, it just doesn't get in the way

I like it when the rich put their own gravy on.

I switched to Studio One from Cubase some 12 years ago and haven't looked back. Macros and drag and drop are killer features.

You need to find someone who already made a list or look for it somewhere like reddit and subscribe / block (upper right button). Once you've done so it will update automatically, so be careful what you subscribe to. Here's one to get you started: bsky.app/profile/did:...
