Yesterday,I turned a year older. I guess the last in Delhi for a while…spent the day putting 15 yrs of life in this magical city into boxes. One box at a time. Moments, big & small. The city with a tender heart(beyond its rough edges). Thank you for becoming my forever home ❤️✨

Still reeling from the brilliance at the #GenDip Workshop in Sweden 🇸🇪! Presented my paper on gendering Delhi’s diplomatic bubble, celebrated our new book Gender and Diplomacy (w/ @eliseinthewoods.bsky.social ), and yes—there was a sauna + cold lake dip 🧖‍♀️❄️

Hey dipali, I too am unsure about being at ISA 2026 as of now. But absolutely agree with your idea of continuing this conversation. As Laura suggested, a virtual event maybe ?

How is it that we as citizens are not revolting at such governance failure. Yes, it is that! What is the plan? How are political leadership (state +centre) joining forces for finding a solution ? Year after year, Delhi has become inhabitable!

She's heeeeere! I love conference roundtables that produce tangible outcomes, & it is a joy to be in community with the 6 other folks who made "Pedagogical Principles of Care: An Intro & Practical Guide." Requires an ISA login but you need not be a member: www.isanet.org/Professional...
Seven principles from which to start:

1. Trust: Viewing students as full people with full lives who can make decisions for themselves, and who are capable of caring for you
2. Vulnerability: Committing to practicing care in an uncaring environment, even when it may not be understood, and knowing when care is insufficient
3. Courage: Asking students to be courageous in listening and questioning, and providing them the tools to be so, and mindful that courage takes different forms that are not often visible
