Threshers motor was a mouse house, but its kind of cleaned up now. Will rebuild the carburetor and give it a try.

Big news for my small aimless farming adventures, managed to find and buy a small vogel thresher for cheap! Was used as a research thresher at the local university. Now if I can get the perennial wheat strain test plants in the garden sorted we might have something.

Was not feeling great today but forced myself to get the old Skidoo out for the first time in 10 years and felt much better. Sure it died every 5 minutes but it made it to the woods and back which is something.

Combine blues. Started running, fuel problems from dirty tank. Fixed, then ate a rock and kicked the rock door open, had to go get a jack to close it. Getting dark, dropped head too low and plug the sickle bar with dirt. Stopped to clean it and now batteries dead. Have like 15 bushels of beans.

Think this and the kon suito both ended up with brown leaf spot, which is a fungal disease. The weedy stuff was left to be dryish and avoided most of it. The kon suito in the paddy was planted too dense and flooded too much making a fungi playground that ruined it. So can fix it next year.

Zerawchanica rice cut and drying. Horrible weedy mess, learned that even if your ignoring rice and letting it run wild make sure you plant it in rows. Mainly because its faster and easier to cut things in a line vs scattered everywhere.

Bad news for the Kon Suito rice patch, its been blighted. The Zerawchanica patch still looked happy so hoping to get it harvested soon.

Clutch problem solved, rats nest in lift elevator. Barfed it out after a few easy clutch bumps. Yay for easy fixes!

Chopper the Gleaner K2 has a new shiny radiator hose off a jeep, and is back alive for its annually run. But seems the thresher is plugged up with something because it wont engage. Half way there.

Bean bales! First time bailing forage beans, figured would try it to weird people out at the hay auctions this winter.

Went to wake up the combine from its year long slumber and was greeted by a mess when it started. Honestly who eats radiator hoses!?!?

Not sure where this snapping turtle has been but they seem to have brought the river bottom up with them.

Current work in progress is trying to make a small rice/bean thresher out of an old wood chipper. As can be seen by what it took to remove this pulley its not going smoothly.

Teeny tiny rice flowers, they don’t last long so always fun to catch them before they are gone. 🌱

This poor lil monarch got knocked on the ground before he was fully out by a large gust of wind blowing the goose statue he was on off the porch. But moved him to a cucumber and he popped out okay
