According to The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities the Trump Administration has the legal right to move funds around to be sure SNAP and wic benefits are funded. These benefits have been paid in all other Government shutdowns while both Republicans and Democrats have been in power.

The "Big Beautiful Bill" could save large corporations like Alphabet, Amazon, and Meta billions in tax benefits, with Morgan Stanley projecting a collective $49.5 billion boost to free cash flow in 2025 for these three companies alone. But at least the average Joe gets ……..?

I’m confused. The House of Representatives has not been in session all of October due to shutdown. They are still being paid though. They have nothing else to do other than the shutdown to make life better for their constituents?
