Mostly just here for nice pictures.
Great, thanks, now that song is stuck in my head 😄

I think I've heard that as well.

That I had to look up. 😉 Found what sounds like a good description of the mechanics at sussexwildlifetrust.org.uk/news/can-dra....

Ability to fly backwards maybe?
January 24, 2026 at 7:15 PM
Maybe stop rubbing bacon grease and honey on the cameras?
😉

😂

Yeah, that's phenomenal. He must be a professional. I'd love to see more of his work!
January 23, 2026 at 9:59 PM
Well that's an interesting stalk! This seems uncommon - would that be typical of this genus?
January 23, 2026 at 3:40 PM
Yep, one of my all-time favorite pictures, and has been my desktop background since I first saw it. Which keeps me motivated to keep my files and folders organized so they don't hide the picture. 😉
January 22, 2026 at 4:57 PM
I totally agree - there's something so painterly about this!
January 22, 2026 at 4:56 PM
Yeah, that's outstanding. :-)
January 19, 2026 at 12:04 AM
I need to know what "private entertainment" is. 🤔
January 17, 2026 at 10:56 PM
And one of our cats is irritated that I'm paying attention to your cats instead of her. 😁
January 17, 2026 at 10:51 PM
Oh, someone needs to turn this into a painting! 😄
January 17, 2026 at 1:03 AM
Yeah, this is a really exceptional shot!
January 17, 2026 at 12:36 AM
Yeah, I think that - technically - you can't enshittify that which is already shit.
😉
January 17, 2026 at 12:13 AM
Nice finish! What caused that, do you think?

And I like the increasingly "smeared" plant in the background. :-)

Nice ear tufts. :-) Is there any hypothesized function for ear tufts, or is it just "one of those things" that arise by happenstance, maybe as a result of other adaptive features.

One of our cats has excellent ear tufts, and it always makes me wonder.
January 16, 2026 at 4:57 PM
I'm really hoping you're going to answer that question for us. 😁
January 9, 2026 at 8:56 PM
Yeah, same here. I can't come up with an explanation why it would matter...
January 7, 2026 at 2:34 AM
What about angle of flash relative to the camera?
January 6, 2026 at 12:49 AM
I haven't gotten past the part where you said you took 11K+ pictures today. 😯
January 4, 2026 at 11:03 PM
Took me a sec to realize he's standing on ice!
And a Merry Coyotmas to you 😊

You could check out genus Oxybelus... females apparently carry prey impaled on the stinger.

Probably midges, a kind of fly. Maybe some mayflies and caddisflies in there. And surely some moths, too. :-)
