The best ability in elite sport is availability. Liverpool have compounding problems. Too many injury prone players - players who can’t stay fit. And a depth of squad not capable of providing adequate cover. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy. A small squad works when stars align and luck is with you

Imagine we didn’t rely on Alexis as a deep pivot and used him where he earned rave reviews as an offensive player for Brighton.
Imagine if we had someone as solid as Elliot Anderson in the Alexis role at the moment playing along side Szobo.
Imagine being able to rotate midfielders with quality.
