I give the Cubs pitching staff so much credit for the work they’ve done this year, especially with the injuries.

It’s just more difficult at this stage to be in the type of matchup they’re in without the slew power and bat-missing arms so many teams have now.

Blackhawks almost stole one. Going to be another long year but hopefully some promise with the kids. Nazar looks awesome already.

I’ll remind myself that the Cubs won 92 games and a playoff series this winter when Chicago sports is a rebuilding Blackhawks team, a directionless Bulls team stuck in purgatory, and the Bears.

Cubs highlights this series:

-Dansby’s defense
-Cubs bullpen (big shoutout to Danny P)
-Holding Machado and Tatis to 2-22
-Seiya big hits
-Carson Kelly hit well
-Tucker looking better in last few ABs
-Taillon 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Dansby Swanson and Nico Hoerner up the middle can help you win in October

Craig Counsell did a great job today.

Happy Bears Victory Monday and Cubs Postseason Eve to all who celebrate.

If you told me in March the Cubs would win 91 games, I’d have guessed they won the division.

Craig Counsell and Jameson Taillon last year at this time were pretty blunt in their expectations for what the Cubs should be aiming for.

Postseason is what truly matters now, but this organization absolutely needed to be a 90-win team. They got that down today.

Seiya Suzuki

30 HR
101 RBI

Shota Imanaga finishes with a 3.73 ERA, 117 K, 26 BB. 31 HR. 0.99 WHIP in 25 GS (144.2 IP)

Overall a good season, with a bad end. The numbers to me feel more in line with what I initially expected from him. Flyballs, can get whiffs, but not overpowering. Mid-rotation type.

The Kyle Tucker situation the last few months has been real tough.

But man, I just can’t get hung up on the deal to get him. When healthy he was MVP caliber.

Smith *might* be really good, we will see. Paredes I like a lot but he didn’t fit great here. Wesneski? Lol who cares.

The flea flicker from Caleb Williams to LB3 will live rent free in my head for a while.

Can’t remember the last time I had this much fun watching a Bears game.

Caleb did some big things, and destroyed Flus’ defense 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

A lot of ups and downs with this Cubs team. Not sure how far they go, but today this feels amazing.
