But Vox needs someone who truly cares for him and loves him for who he is, and that person is Valentino. Hopefully, Vox will understand this as he moves on and grieve his broken heart ❤️🩹

Alastor has undoubtedly been and always will be important to Vox, I even think they are soulmates, but being soulmates does not necessarily mean "destined to end up as a couple", we are talking about soul resonance.

On the other hand (and I hope this will be explored in season 3), Valentino undoubtedly also has his own perception of attachment and love, shaped by his past and a life that was likely depraved. That doesn't help.

The fact is that Vox isn't ready to commit emotionally (even though he feels the same way). Committing means risking losing Valentino, just as he lost Alastor. He's facing a block stemming from his trauma.

Valentino is a Don Juan, he likes to sleep with "ten"... and Vox. But Vox is clearly different. He wants more than a superficial relationship. And frankly, their little gestures of affection towards each other are very telling.

At the end of season 2, Valentino's anger is more than justified, and given his character, he would have had dozens of opportunities to abandon Vox, but no. Vox is the exception to everything. "I love you so much that I accept your flaws/mistakes" is very powerful from him.

Vox doesn't realize he's stumbled upon a real gem in Valentino (yes, we're talking about Valentino). Valentino is so in love that he accepts everything from him. I don't know about you, but just the thought of trying to hypnotize him drove me crazy.

I think Valentino is the kind of person who provides comfort after a breakup, who was able to lift Vox up and help him regain his self-esteem. This led to budding feelings, but with limitations.

It's the kind of breakup that leaves a lasting mark; Vox "toughens up" and vows never to suffer like that again, but the wound remains. This will impact her relationship with Valentino. Let's move on to the Staticmoth, which I love.

From Alastor's perspective, it's very convenient to say he's just an asshole. I think Alastor's feelings aren't so black and white. It's been said that Alastor was comfortable with Vox. Alastor was, in a way, attached to this simple, uncomplicated relationship.

Vox didn't just get rejected. He took a risk thinking, "at worst, he'll just say no." In the end, he lost a friend and his ego took a serious hit, especially since he already has a trust issue and that Al was the first and only person to whom he broke down barriers. It's violent!

Vox (or Vincent) hoped for more from this relationship, but Alastor didn't; this close friendship was enough for him. Alastor put an end to it, but not in the best way. There wasn't even room for "no, but we'll stay friends."

I said I liked one or the other, but I confess to having a particular fondness for Radiostatic, even though its outcome is sad and catastrophic. I think Alastor and Vox forged a real bond of trust, which was immediately broken because of an imbalance in expectations.
