The main issue with doing it is that Freya lacks field animations for a lot of actions, so those would have to be made somehow.

Plus there is the logistics of replacing Zidane or whoever in cutscenes, especially when she's also in the original scene.

I experimented with this, I even made Freya the world map character. And there is a full Garnet mod for this.

For Freya, it would be doable, but not trivial.

That's really what separates the two for me.

All of the innovations and additions in Crossworlds focus on enhancing the core racing experience.

Whereas most of what they added in MKW takes away from it or is unrelated (and they had to cut features to fit their new stuff in).
