This trickle down BS has been the R mantra for decades - CEOs are using the extra $ to buy back stock and increase their compensation instead of reinvesting in employees and innovation.

Stock buybacks allowed CEO compensation to go from 30 times an average employee's salary to over 300 times today. It was illegal until Reagan reversed it.
