Right I've got compliments when dressed childish in public many times and it wasn't ever brought up by anybody except in a positive light. We have to remember that puriteens are a very vocal minority as a whole and aren't really indicative of how most people view us.

Thank you! People are tremendously weird all the time, as long as you're nice to others, you're not sticking a camera in someone's face, or being otherwise obscene, there's a lot less to hate on.

I have had more positive interactions than negative ones, people are absolutely starved for kindness and someone who presents as openly kind is kind of like water in the desert, even if it's not what they expect!

It's really hard to be spiteful in the face of kindness.
