while this checklist is broader, my main goal as of right now is $3,000 for a used car to be able to get around. i'm about 30% of the way there (just over 900 usd), but as someone with chronic pain, doing this many commissions is really exhausting - and my family life is difficult to say the least.

"I don't want to ask for help, but the SSA doesn't give me a choice! I applied for SSI (the second time) around 17 months ago, and have been waiting for the SSA to even assign a judge to my case [for my appeal] for 7 of those months now. This isn't unusual, but it leaves me in a precarious situation at home."

"Even with a lawyer, there's nothing to be done to expedite this whole process. I can't even afford to go back to therapy, and if I try to get a job somehow, it will affect all of the hard work I've put into fighting this legal process. Without the support of my family, this is my only outlet."

Here's a breakdown of the costs.
1. at least $3k for a vehicle, which may allow me to attempt part time work - but, disability will impede my ability to work, and potential SSI. I'll need to have this regardless of whether I'm able to work or forced to wait for SSI ... (which is likely!)
2. $2,100 - 3 months of rent
3. $500 - one time move in fees
4. anything to cover gas, bills, etc.
